There are Three types of Hearing loss 

Sensorineural Hearing Loss:Result from damage to hair cells in the inner ear or any damage into Auditory nerve (Pathway between inner ear and the brain) causes of sensorineural Hearing loss.

Common reason of S.N loss:

o Noise Exposure
o Natural Aging
o Severe head injury
o Serious disease
o Side effect of medicine and steroid.

In that case, according to your degree of hearing loss an Audiologist can prescribe appropriate Hearing Aid and
he/she will adjust the programming which give you result of better hearing experience.

Conductive Hearing Loss:  Conductive hearing loss happens when sounds cannot get through external ear and middle ear.

Common reason for Conductive hearing loss:
o Blockage of ear canal
o A perforation in your ear-drum
o Problems with three bones (Malleus, incus, stapes).
o Build-up of fluid behind the eardrum.

Conductive hearing loss can be treated by medical treatment (Antifungal medicine, antibiotics or Surgery). Assistive listening devises or amplification of sound through hearing aid can be helpful for you. An expert ENT doctor and Audiologist’s consultation will suggest you the better way.

Mixed Hearing Loss:A Mixed hearing loss is a combination of Conductive and Sensorineural hearing loss in that
