Hearing loss occurs gradually as you age is common called Presbycusis.

People of the United States older than age 65 have some degree of hearing loss. In India there are approximately 63 million people who are suffering from significant Auditory impairment. By 2050 nearly 2.5 million are projected to have degree of hearing loss and at least 700 million will require hearing rehabilitation according to WHO (world health organization).

Over 1 billion young adults are at risk of permanent, avoidable hearing loss due to unsafe listening practices. Over 5% of world’s population or 430 million (432 million adults & 34 million children) people require rehabilitation to address their disabling hearing loss.

Sign & Symptoms of Hearing loss:

Difficulty to understand words especially against background noise and in a crowd area.
Muffling of sounds and speech.

Trouble to hear Consonants.
Withdrawal from conversation with people.
Frequently asking people to speak more loudly, slowly and clearly.
Needing to turn-up volume of television or radio.
Avoid some social setting cause Isolation, loneliness and stigma.
