Testing

Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA)
Pure Tone Audiometry is a test used to measure your hearing sensitivity. It presents pure tone to each ear and determine the threshold of hearing. Pure Tone Audiometry denotes what type of hearing loss you have, degree of hearing loss and its severity into Audiogram.
Tympanometry/ Impedance Audiometry
Tympanometry is an examination refers to test the condition of the middle ear. It presents useful information about presence of fluid into the ear, mobility of the middle ear system, ear canal volume, perforation in eardrum or infection.
Free Field Audiometry
Free Field Audiometry refers the method of testing that take place in an isolation room via speakers. It is basically performed without using Headphone or with hearing aids to evaluate where is the sound coming from or the clarity of performance after using hearing devices.
Eustachian Tube Function Test (ETFT)
Eustachian Tube is a small passageway that connects your throat to your middle ear. Sometimes Eustachian Tube can be Plugged is called Eustachian Tube dysfunction. In that reason you may also have ear pain or sound may be muffled.
For this purpose, ETF test is required to identify your ‘Eustachian Tube function’ appropriately working or not.
Speech Audiometry (SRT & SDS)
Speech Audiometry test represents your ability to hear and compared spoken words. It has two components (SRT) Speech Recognition Threshold and (SDS) Speech Discrimination Score. Audiologist will ask you to repeat a list of words to determine your hearing and reorganization of speech.
Short Increment Sensitivity Index (SISI)
SISI Test represent a person’s ability to recognize 1dB increase in intensity during a series of pure tone bursts. SISI test is designed to assist in the determination of where the hearing impairment arose from whether it is cochlear or retro-cochlear. The patient is asked to give signal to Audiologist that they have detected an incremental increase.
Tone Decay Test (TDT)
Tone decay test identify the adaptation of your auditory system. It detects and measures patient’s auditory fatigue or abnormal adaptation. During tone decay test patient is instructed by Audiologist to continuous respond to the tone.

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT)

If you suffering from Tinnitus or hearing any disturbing tone into ear (ringing, buzzing or others) this therapy will helps you to reduce or minimize the noise. Every session of this therapy will assist you to gradually withdrawal the habituate concentration on tinnitus. therapy will produce sounds that matches with your tinnitus or nearly close to it sound. Continuous generating of tone by a therapist will be work like an aider to masking your Tinnitus within few sessions.

VESTIBULAR TEST:

  • ENG (Electronystagmography): It is a medical test used to check the balance system of the inner ear and the eye movements that help maintain balance. Doctors often use it to find the cause of dizziness, vertigo or balance problems .
  • O-VEMP (Ocular Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials): It is a test that measures eye-muscle responses to sound or vibration to check the balance organs of the inner ear.
  • ECoch-G (Electrocochleography): It is a test that records the electrical activity of the Cochlea and the Auditory nerve when sound is played , to check inner ear function.
  • C-Vemp (Cervical Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials): It is a test that measures muscle responses in the neck to sound stimulation to evaluate the inner ear balance organ.
  • BERA( Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry) / ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response): It is a hearing test that measures how sound signals travel from the ear to the Brainstem through the Auditory nerve (hearing nerve).
  • ASSR (Auditory Steady-State Response): It is a hearing test that measures how the brain responds to continuous sound to estimate hearing levels.
  • OAE(otoacoustic Emissions): It is a test that measures sounds produced by the Cochlea to check inner ear hearing function . The OAE test is often part of a newborn hearing screening program.
